Industrial

Workshops

The CFE holds annual workshops at CMU. Carnegie Mellon University has long been recognized for cutting edge research in the areas of colloid and polymer science. We host workshops together with local experts in a given topical area, to identify and clarify potential links between academic and industrial research in that area. Our aim is to educate both the academic and industrial participants and to identify the most relevant focus areas in current vital and economically important industries.

The workshops are two days of technical presentations with adequate time for discussion (either panel discussion or open). A poster session with presentations from CFE graduate students and reception are also part of the program.

The workshops hosted in previous years:
"Coatings Technology", January 7 and 8, 1999: Organizers Lynn M. Walker and Robert D. Tilton

"Materials Science Issues in Pharmaceutical Processing and Application", January 13 and 14, 2000: Organizers: Lynn M. Walker, Robert D. Tilton and Todd M. Przybycien
